Mr. Ned Anthony Carter, Jr., known to everyone as “Tony”, 55, of Williams, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 3 o’clock Saturday afternoon, April 14, 2018 at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Williams Cemetery.
Born April 8, 1963 in Colleton County, he was the son of Ned Anthony Carter, Sr. and Ann Hodges Carter. He was a maintenance technician with Savannah River Site for 33 years. He attended Marion Baptist Church in Williams. Tony was an avid outdoorsman; was a farmer; enjoyed gardening; loved his horses and dearly loved his hunting dogs. He was a Director of the Colleton Saddle Club; a former member of The South Carolina National Barrell Horse Association; a charter member of the South Carolina Marsh Tacky Association; and a member of the Carters Hunting Club.
Surviving in addition to his parents are: his wife Terry Lynn Brown Carter of Williams; children, Joseph Anthony “Jody” Carter and Kimberly Renee Carter of Williams; brother, Charles Phillip “Phil” Carter of Williams; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Herman and Leslie Brown of Ehrhardt; brother-in-law, Del Brown and his wife Stephanie of Ehrhardt; nieces, Julia Chay Carter, and Anna Miley Carter; nephews, Phillip Reed Carter, Hayden Gant Brown and Landon Parker Brown; and his beloved Jack Russell, Zoey.
