Sandy Lanier Taylor

Mrs. Sandra Lanier Taylor, known by many as “Sandy”, age 65, of Cottageville, entered into rest Friday morning, January 10, 2020, at the Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro.

Born March 26, 1954, in Charleston, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Robert Lanier, Sr. and the late Betty Mitchell Winningham.   She was employed at Cottageville Elementary School and was a member of Cottageville Baptist Church where she was formerly a member of the Women’s Missionary Union.  One of her greatest enjoyments in life was shopping the Q.V.C. network. 

Surviving are: her husband of forty years, Mr. Jerry Dale Taylor; a daughter, Erica Taylor Gillispie and her husband Bruce of Walterboro; three sisters, Debbie Stokes of Summerville, Brenda Veronee and her husband Robert of Givhans, and Tammy Rexrode and her husband Bert of Winsboro; and two grandchildren, Bruce Gillispie, Jr. and Taylor Anne Gillispie.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Lanier, Jr.
