Mrs. Sandra Beebe Prevost, 73, of Summerville, entered into rest Wednesday afternoon, October 10, 2018, at the Roper Cottage Hospice Center in Mount Pleasant.
Born October 4, 1945 in Summerville, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Fannie Mae Stokes Mixon and the late Sam Willie Mixon. Sandra worked a long and dedicated career in Hospital Administration, having retired from Saint Francis Hospital in Charleston. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Pregnall. An avid collector, she will be remembered for the simple pleasures she took in amassing antiques as well as bird collectibles, which Owls and Robins were among her favorites. She dearly loved her cats and was very proud of her Depression Glass collection.
Surviving are: her two sons, James Nicholas Prevost, III and John Christopher Prevost both of Summerville; and their father, James Nicholas Prevost, II; two grandchildren, John Richard Rowe and Alysa Beth Galbraith; a brother, Ricky Mixon of Cottageville; as well as four nieces, April Mixon, Rebecca Mixon Canaday, Karen Beebe Waller, and Tracy Mosandel. She was formerly married to Joe Agius for twenty-three years and is survived by his children, Rick Agius of James Island, Joey Agius of West Ashley, and Christine Garcia of Daniel Island. She was preceded in death by a brother, Butch Beebe; and a nephew, Kenny Beebe.
Funeral services will be conducted 3 o’clock Saturday afternoon, October 13, 2018, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. The Reverend Steve Crosby officiating. Interment will follow in the Meeting House Cemetery, Meeting House Lane, Cottageville.
