Beaufort – Mrs. Ruby Buehner, 76, of Beaufort, entered into rest Wednesday evening, October 9, 2019, at her daughter’s home in Brunson, South Carolina. She was a loyal wife to the late, John Buehner.
Born May 19, 1943, in Hampton, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late John Henry Dempsey and the late Minnie Avery Cartright Dempsey. Ruby was a great, caring mother who had a strong willed personality all her life. She fought a good fight through her sickness and stayed bold all the way through. She lived in beautiful Beaufort, South Carolina where she often enjoyed the water, her friends and not to forget her swimming pool. She always liked to have a good time and laughing, doing her best to make life the fullest. She enjoyed every bit of her life and ever thing that surrounded it.
Surviving are: daughters, Debbie Bennett and her husband Michael Bennett of York,SC and Connie Buehner of Brunson, SC; She is also survived by her granddaughters, Kassidy Bennett and Raven Fuller; a sister, Beatrice McClure and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she is preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Benton and brothers, Jack Dempsey and George Dempsey.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon, October 12, 2019, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Varnville. The Reverend Alan Cook will be officiating.
