Riddick A. Broderick

Mr. Riddick  A. Broderick, 84, of Walterboro, entered into rest Friday evening, December 22, 2017, at Pruitt Health Care in Walterboro.

Funeral services will be conducted 3 o’clock Tuesday afternoon, December 26, 2017, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro.  Entombment will follow in Glendale Memorial Chapel Mausoleum.  

Born October 10, 1933, in Walterboro, he was a son of the late Willie and Janie Bazzle Broderick.  He retired from Westinghouse Corporation in Hampton after thirty-eight years of faithful service.   He was a member of First Christian Church in Walterboro where he formerly served as a Deacon and as a Sunday School Teacher.  He loved camping and country music.

Surviving are: his wife of sixty-five years, Thelma DeWitt Broderick; a son, Ricky Broderick and his wife Judy of Walterboro; and a sister, Irene Gruber of Walterboro.   He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Thomas Broderick.  

Flowers will be accepted or for those that wish, the family has suggested that memorial contributions be directed in his memory to:  First Christian Church, 417 Carn Street, Walterboro, South Carolina 29488.
