Ms. Peggy Robinson Loyd, 75, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Wednesday morning, January 1, 2020, at the Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro.
A daughter of the late Cletis S. Robinson and the late Loye Brock Robinson, she was a native of Knoxville, Tennessee. She lived the majority of her life in Goose Creek before eventually making Walterboro her home in 2014. She retired from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston as a payroll accountant . She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Walterboro where she was a member of the Lula Strickland Circle, helped with missions, worked in the food pantry and served with the nursing home ministry. She enjoyed traveling and dearly loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are: three children, Tim Loyd and his wife Mara of Fort Myers, Florida, Melissa Loyd West and her husband Wally of Walterboro, and Amy Loyd Abrams and her husband Keith of Fort Myers, Florida; eight grandchildren, Derek, Wes, Jessica, Chelsey, Halie, Kristin, Andrea, and Austin; eleven great grandchildren; and a dear friend and cousin, Pat McCoy.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 o’clock Saturday afternoon, January 4, 2020, at Bethel United Methodist Church in the Historic District, 355 Hampton Street, Walterboro. The Reverend Dr. Scott Wachter officiating.
