Naomi Stanley

Mrs. Naomi Brown Stanley, 75, of Walterboro, passed away Monday afternoon, July 24, 2017 at Pruitt Healthcare in Walterboro.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer F. Stanley, Sr.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 o’clock, Friday morning, July 28, 2017 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro.  Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery, Hendersonville Highway, Walterboro.

Born June 18, 1942 in Allendale County, she was a daughter of the late Henry Brown and Metta Bell Hoover Brown.  She was a seamstress at Smoaks Dress Plant and was a member of Great Swamp Baptist Church.

Surviving are: her children, Marvin Stanley, Sr. and his wife Melissa, Melvin Stanley and his wife Marie Long, Homer Stanley, and Rhonda Stanley Garnsey and her husband, Alvin Garnsey, Sr., all of Walterboro; brother, Harold Brown of Walterboro; sisters, Saderis Jones of Mississippi; 10 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a grandson, William Garnsey, Jr.; and a sister, Florence Brown.
