Varnville – Mrs. Myrtis Juanita Bennett, 70, of Early Branch, entered into rest Friday, September 27, 2019, at the Roper
Hospital in Charleston, South Carolina. She was a devoted wife of 48 years to her true love, Murphy T. "Mutt" Bennett
Born January 25, 1949, in Hampton, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Bill Ginn and Myrtis Lento Ginn. Juanita worked at Stanley's Drug Store in Hampton for many years. Later in her life she worked at Estill Manufacturer, where she was over her department until her retirement. She was a genuine lady with a great sense of humor, always playing "tricks" and making people laugh and to have a good time with her family, friends and anyone she knew. Juanita never met a stranger, treating everyone with the respect of a friend. She was an exceptionally caring and nurturing person, giving all she could to her family and others who sought her tender guidance. She nursed her mother in sickness and raised her dear family till her passing. She enjoyed cooking and helping others. Her family will always remember her as a very loving wife and mother.
Surviving are: husband, Murphy T. " Mutt" Bennett ; her sons, Billy Ginn and his daughter Pamela of Hampton, Jamie Ginn (Crystal) and their children, Brooke, Ryan and Claire of Greenville, Marc Jarrell (Elaine) and their children, Alan, Cole and Ally of Estill, and Brandon Jarrell of Estill. She is also survived by a daughter, Sheila Smith and her son, Corey Smith and loved pet, Penny Bennett. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Manuel Ginn and Johnny Ginn and a sister, Linda Smith.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 o'clock Wednesday morning, October 2, 2019. from Deep Branch Baptist Church, 134 Deep Branch Road, Varnville. The Reverend Glen Samples will be officiating. Interment will follow in Thames Cemetery.
The family will receive friends during a time of visitation Wednesday, from 10 o’clock until the hour of service at Deep Branch Baptist Church.
