Michael Atticus Hudson, 49, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Monday, October 2, 2017 at his residence.
A memorial service will be held at 11 o’clock, Saturday morning, October 7, 2017 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
Born January 11, 1968 in Spartanburg, he was a son of William Royden Hudson, Jr. and Patricia Bishop Hudson. He was a Computer Engineer for MD Anderson Cancer Hospital in Houston, Texas. He was a graduate of Stephen F. Austin University, where he was a member of the Stephen F. Austin Sigtau Fraternity. He also graduated from Norvell Computer Systems School. Michael lived most of his life in Houston, Texas, until making Walterboro his home in 2002. He was a motorcycle enthusiast, enjoyed fishing, and loved mechanical challenges.
Surviving are: his parents, Royden and Patty Hudson of Walterboro; brother, Doctor William Kevin Hudson and his wife Jennifer of Sumter; nieces and nephew, Ellie Hudson, Will Hudson and Addison Carpenter; as well as a loving host of aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his beloved K-9 companions, “BB”, “Scooter”, and “Cole”.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made in Michael’s memory to: FOCCAS, 33 Poor Farm Road, Walterboro, South Carolina 29488; or to: Bethel United Methodist Church, Ruffin Charge, care of Carolyn Breland, 573 Spencer Drive, Ruffin, South Carolina 29475.
