Mrs. Mary Erline Collins Kinard, 89, of Ehrhardt, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2017 at her residence. She was the widow of Robert Earl Kinard.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, Sunday, June 25, 2017 at St. Johns Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Born October 8, 1927 in Bamberg County, she was a daughter of the late Earl Edward Collins, Sr. and Inez Garrett Collins. She was a faithful member of St. Johns Baptist Church, where she was a former church clerk, Sunday School Teacher and taught Vacation Bible School for many years. She loved sewing, cooking and canning her vegetables. Most of all, she dearly loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are: her daughters, Patricia K. Thomas and her husband Dannie, Deborah K. Bruner, and Sarah E. Blume, all of Ehrhardt; grandchildren, Dannie E. Thomas, Jr. and his wife Jennifer, Travis K. Thomas and his wife Cara, Robert M. Thomas and his wife Amy, John Wallace Bruner, IV, Edward Hunter Blume, Robbie Kinard and his wife Kim, Michael Kinard and his wife Kellie, Victoria Carter and her husband Clint, and Mary Scarlett Kinard and her fiancé, Dean; many great grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Rosie Collins of Summerville and Esther Davis of Evans, Georgia. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert M. Kinard; grandson, Earl Bruner; great granddaughter, Caitlyn Thomas; and brothers, James Robert Collins and Earl Edward Collins, Jr.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: St. Johns Baptist Church Cemetery Fund; or to: Grove Park Hospice.
