Ms. Lisa Dianne Sisk, age 51, of Washington, D.C. entered into rest Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at George Washington University Hospital in the District of Columbia. 

 

Funeral services will be conducted 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon, May 27, 2017, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro.  Interment will follow in Cottageville Cemetery.

 

A daughter of Delmas Sisk and Mary Ruth Pye Sisk, she was born July 21, 1965.  A native of Cottageville, South Carolina, she made Washington, D.C. her home for the past fifteen years.  She was a graduate of Trident Technical College where she earned her Associates Degree in Phlebotomy and had worked as a Medical Coder.  She was a member of the Washington Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. 

 

Surviving in addition to her parents of Cottageville are: a son, Lance Corporal Corey Everett Crosby of the United States Marine Corps stationed at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina; a sister, Nancy Cristina Sisk (Clint Gallman) and her son, Hunter Joseph Spires of Walterboro; her grandmother, Mrs. Annie Ruth Pye of Cottageville; an uncle, Mickey Pye and his wife, Nancy and their son, Mickey Joe Pye of Cottageville; a great uncle, Carl Wagener of Cottageville; two great aunts, Bernice Bailey of Walterboro and Anita Bailey of Charleston; and numerous cousins.    There are two beloved grand-dogs, Diesel and Whiskey as well as a dear friend, Rodney Woods of Washington, D.C and many other dear friends and adopted family members of the Washington Metro area.   She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Henry Joseph Pye, Arthur David Sisk, and Cora Lee Johnson. 

 

In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested that memorial contributions be directed in her memory to the following:  Cottageville Cemetery Fund, care of Mr. Norman Davis, 10264 Cottageville Highway, Cottageville, South Carolina 29435; or to, Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, Florida 32256.
