Mr. James Berkeley “Jim” Baggett, Sr., age 74, entered into rest Saturday evening, March 9, 2019, surrounded by his loving family at his home in Walterboro.
Mr. Baggett was born July 6, 1944, in Walterboro and was the owner and operator of J. Baggett Trucking. He was a member of Evergreen Christian Church. Jim will always be remembred for his strong work ethic and his talented ability at mechanic work.
Surviving are: his wife, Dianne Chapman Baggett; two sons, James B. Baggett, Jr. of Round O and Gregory Allan Baggett of Barnwell; a daughter, Renee Lynn Raubertas Elsey and her husband Rusty of Round O; three step-daughters, Christine Heath, Keri Hammond, and Becky Heath; a step-brother, Calvin Crosby of Bluffton; a step-sister, Pansey Young of Bluffton; five grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by a wife, Janet L. Baggett.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 o’clock Friday morning, March 15, 2019, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Glendale Memorial Cemetery, 2210 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.
