Mr. Ernest Haskell Jordan, 100, of Round O, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018 at The Oakbrook Health and Rehab Center.
Born June 15, 1918 in Conway, he was a son of the late Ernest Clyde Jordan and Dell Causey Jordan. He worked for a number of years at the Charleston Naval Shipyard and was a contractor, owning his own business for over 30 years; and was also an insurance agent. He was a member of Jones Swamp Pentecostal Holiness Church where he was formerly a Sunday School Teacher.
Surviving are: his wife of 52 years, Mattie Jean Jordan of Round O; son, Nelson Jordan and his wife Martha of Bennettsville; step-sons, Michael Anderson and his wife Helen of Fort Mill and Dennis Anderson and his wife Frances of Hanahan; and 6 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Bonita Taylor; and one grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Jones Swamp Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery, 320 Jones Swamp Road, Walterboro.
