David Smith

Mr. David Vernon Smith, 71, of Walterboro, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Pruitt Healthcare in Moncks Corner. He was the husband of the late Roberta Willis Smith.

Born August 23, 1948 in Summerville, he was a son of the late Clifton W. Smith, Sr. and Henrietta Jeffers Smith of Ridgeville.  He was long distance truck driver and had served in the South Carolina Army National Guard.  He loved the Lord and loved his family and will be dearly missed by them.

Surviving are: his children, Beverly Ann Coplen of Walterboro, David Wayne Smith and his wife Melanie of Walterboro, and Christy Smith Carroll of Walterboro; grandchildren, Danielle, Gabriel, Savannah, Sierrah, Matthew, Jamie, and Shelby; great grandchildren, Charlotte, Garrett, Caspian and Eli; brother, Tommy L. Smith, Sr. of Ridgeville; and sisters, Janet Smith White of Parkston, NC and Carolyn Smith Williamson of Easley.

Funeral services will be held 2 pm, Saturday, December 14, 2019 at The Brice Herndon Fuenral Chapel, Walterboro.  Interment will follow in Glendale Memorial Cemetery, 2210 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.
