Clary Mole Obituary

Mr. Clary Dennis Mole, Sr., 68, of Early Branch, passed away Friday, January 4, 2019 at Roper Hospice Cottage in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.

Born August 28, 1950 in Colleton County, he was a son of the late Harold Wilmer Mole and Geneva Smith Mole.  He was a Deputy Sherriff for the Hampton County Sherriff’s Office, where he served in the Courthouse Security Division and the K-9 Division.  He was a member of Sandy Run Baptist Church where he was a Deacon, former Sunday School Teacher and former choir member.  At his beloved church, he was very involved with mentoring the youth, chiefly the youth softball coach.  He also served as the Director of the Hampton-Allendale Baptist Association Youth program for several terms.  Mr. Mole was a past member of the Mount Moriah Masonic Lodge in Yemassee, where he served as Past Master several times before moving his membership to the Evergreen Masonic Lodge in Hampton.  He was an avid deer hunter and was the Past President of the Early Branch (Mole) Hunting Club.

Most of all, Clary was a man of God, who loved his Lord and dearly loved his family.  He was a devoted husband and wonderful daddy, granddaddy, and brother, who provided for family and centered his life around them.

Surviving are: his wife of 44 years, Faith “Faye” McMillan Mole; children, Clary Dennis Mole, Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia, and Stacey Mole Godley and her husband Jeff of Islandton; grandchildren, Matthew Kendall Light, Kenneth Lloyd Godley and Kennedy Faith Godley; brothers, David Mole and his wife Loretta of Early Branch and Nolan Mole of Cummings; several nieces and nephews; and many that he considered family.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Mole and his wife Hazel.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock, Monday afternoon, January 7, 2019 at Sandy Run Baptist Church, Sandy Run Road, Hampton.  Interment will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery.
