Born August 29, 1942, a son of the late Charles John Miley, Jr. and the late Mary Alice Deer Miley, he was raised in Fairfax, South Carolina.  He graduated from Allendale/Fairfax High School and shortly after began working for  Mr. and Mrs. Gaylord Donnelley at Ashepoo Plantation, Green Pond, SC.   Johnny Miley began a career that spanned nearly forty-five years, starting as the Assistant Manager and retiring as the Manager in 2013.  Ashepoo Planation was his life and he was instrumental in its layout, formation, and management.  He was very close to the Donnelley family and was treated like one of their family.  He loved his work and was a true conservationist.  Johnny loved hunting and fishing and everything outdoors.   A beloved icon at Bennett’s Point, he was known as a friend who was always willing to help and reach out to others.

He was a member of Community Bible Church in Beaufort, SC.

The family would like to thank Agape Hospice of Beaufort for the care and love that they gave Johnny.
