Bambi Leigh Linder Wise, 39, of Orangeburg, entered into rest Monday evening, September 23, 2019, at the Lexington Medical Center following a courageous and strong willed battle against breast cancer.
Born June 18, 1980, in Orangeburg, South Carolina, she was a daughter of Garner David Linder and Teri Leigh DuBoise Linder. She was a graduate of Orangeburg Technical College, where she received her degree in nursing. She was a registered nurse, having worked as a Director of Nursing at Mabry Cancer Center and was also employed at the Palmetto Surgery Center. She was devoted to Colston Branch Baptist Church, where she was faithful to the church’s work, having served as a leader for the Girl’s Group and was instrumental in the starting of the Youth Ministry. She was a past member of the Junior Service League. Bambi dearly loved her family and going to the beach. She knew and demonstrated that family was always first and foremost in her life.
Surviving in addition to her parents of Branchville are: the light of her life, her daughter, Kaileigh Ann Wise; two brothers, Christopher David Linder (Anna) of Smoaks and Jacob Kyle Linder (Brittany) of Bamberg; two sisters, Hannah Ellen Linder (Dalton Compton) of Branchville and Sarah Elizabeth Linder (Warren Peay) of Branchville; her paternal grandparents, Troy G. and Mary Smoak Linder of Smoaks; her maternal grandmother, Myrtle Valentine of Walterboro; a nephew, Jacob Seth Linder; and two dear friends, Skip McNulty and Tommy Wise. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Dale DuBoise.
Flowers will be accepted, or for those that desire, the family has requested that memorial contributions be directed in her memory to: Colston Branch Baptist Church Youth Fund, 655 Sunday School Road, Bamberg, South Carolina 29003.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon, September 27, 2019, from Colston Branch Baptist Church, 655 Sunday School Road, Bamberg. The Reverend Shawn Hanks officiating. Interment will follow in the churchyard.
The family will receive friends during a time of visitation this Thursday evening from 6 o’clock until 8 o’clock in the Sanctuary of Colston Branch Baptist Church.
