Shirley Sue Plumley, 57, of Walterboro, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Friday evening, June 4, 2021, at Colleton County Medical Center.
Born September 20, 1963, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, she was a daughter to the late Mr. James Everett Blackburn and the late Mrs. Margaret Lucille Stuart Blackburn.
Shirley was best known as the angel of her family. She cared deeply for others and at anytime she was able, she would offer her tender love and care to those in need. She was a motherly figure in many ways to those taken in as if they were her own. She possessed a great love for her family, specially her grandchildren and her K9 companions too. Shirley had a knack and enjoyed gardening.
She is survived by: her longtime life partner, Timmy Sluss; her daughters, Stacy Balbino and her husband Marcio of Cottageville and Geneva Droze of North Charleston; her son, Jason Plumley; grandchildren, Kaycee Sluss, Allie Sluss, Luzia Sluss, Marcio Balbino, Jr., Ania Droze, Michael Droze, Matthew Droze and Patrick Plumley; sisters, Linda Williams and her husband David of Ohio and Judy Blackburn of North Charleston; brothers, James Blackburn II and Charles Blackburn both of Ohio. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 o’clock Monday afternoon, June 7, 2021, from the Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow at the Cottageville Cemetery.
