Bobby Gene Sloan (Bob) 67, passed away unexpectedly on September 14, 2021 in Walterboro, South Carolina.
Bobby was born in Flagstaff, Arizona on February 8, 1954 to Bobby and Luetta Sloan. Siblings include; Darrell Sloan (Brother), Vanesa Holly (Sister), Edwin Sloan (Brother) and his brother Randall Sloan who is deceased.
Bobby spent his childhood in central Arizona where he enjoyed fishing, hunting and hiking. Bobby attended and graduated from Camp Verde High School in 1972. Bobby joined the United States Marine Corps in 1973 and served his country for over 20 years as an aircraft mechanic, ultimately retiring under honorable conditions. As a U.S. Marine, Bobby traveled throughout the world serving in place like, Japan, Korea and the Philippines. Notable duty stations within the U.S. include; Yuma, Az , Kanoehe Bay, Hawaii and Beaufort Sc, where he met and married Lila Bazzle in July of 1976.
Bobby is survived by his spouse of 45 years, Lila M. Sloan, his son Walter (Aimee Aultman), his siblings, 4 wonderful pets, 3 dogs; Britches, Patch and Bandit; a Quaker Parrot “Bad Bird”.
Graveside funeral services will be held 11 o'clock, Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Beaufort National Cemetery, 1601 Boundary Street, Beaufort, South Carolina.
