Truman Davis

Mr. Truman Joseph Davis, Jr., affectionately known to everyone as “Davy”, 79, of Pelion, entered into eternal rest, Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Lexington Medical Center.

Born August 5, 1944, in Walterboro, he was the son of the late Truman Joseph Davis, Sr. and Earlene Barnes Davis.  He served his country faithfully in the United States Marine Corp and was a Pilot for Beaufort County Mosquito Control.  He was kindhearted, loving, and always took care of his entire family.  He was an avid pilot and loved his Doberman, Sadie.

Surviving are: his wife of 59 years, Susan Gayle Peters Davis of Pelion; children, Christina Marie Davis and Trenton J. Davis and his fiancé, Amanda Bass, both of Pelion; grandchildren, Geoffrey Ryan Davis, Kaitlin Emma Davis, Amanda Davis and Hailey Davis, all of Pelion; great grandchildren, Ledger, Mck, Payton, and Zoe; and sister, Jolene Galloway of Richmond, Virginia.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Sunny Davis.

Graveside funeral services will be held 2 o’clock, Wednesday, March 28, 2024, at Tabernacle Cemetery, Augusta Highway, Smoaks.
