Mr. Timothy David Maxey, 58, of Smoaks, entered into eternal rest Friday morning, March 29, 2024, at Colleton Medical Center.
Born September 14, 1965, in Walterboro, he was a son of Betty Pellum Maxey and the late Eugene William Maxey, Sr. David served for many years at the St. George Fire Department where he was a former Chief Engineer. He also served for many years with the Colleton County Fire Department, working primarily at Bells Station. David worked alongside his brother in their family business at M&M Pest Control; and had worked at Walmart in Walterboro and at Reid’s Grocery Store. David was a member of Smoaks Baptist Church.
Surviving are: his mother, Betty Maxey of Smoaks; his wife, Debra Price Maxey of Smoaks; children, Timothy David Maxey, II and his wife Melissa of Jacksonville, Florida and Jenna Maxey of Cottageville; grandchildren Selena, Patience, and Ariana; brother, Eugene Maxey, Jr. of Smoaks; sister, Deborah Rider of Mount Pleasant; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be held 1 pm, Monday afternoon, April 1, 2024, at Smoaks Baptist Church Cemetery, 482 Lodge Highway, Smoaks.
