Thomas Lee Warren

Mr. Thomas Lee Warren, 73, of Klein Street in Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Saturday afternoon, August 13, 2016, at Hospice of Charleston in Mount Pleasant.

Funeral services will be conducted 3 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, August 17, 2016, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro.  The Reverend Jim Day officiating.  Interment will follow in Bedon Baptist Churchyard, 2410 Cottageville Highway, Walterboro.

Born October 26, 1942, in Walterboro, he was a son of the late Charles English Warren and the late Hattie Mae Long Warren.  He was a retired manager of Foodland in Walterboro, over the course of his working career was a well-known icon in many of the local grocery stores.  He was a member of First Christian Church in Walterboro.  An avid golfer, he will always be remembered for the passion he had for spending time on any golf course he could find.

Surviving are: his wife of fifty-six years, Mrs. Annie Mae Jones Warren; three children, Katherine Warren, Thomas Warren, Jr., and Angie Stone all of Walterboro; a brother, Michael Warren of Walterboro; and a sister, Ruby Warren Harriott of Walterboro.  There are five grandchildren, Jamie Williams (Chris), David Stone (Sabrina), Jonathan Stone, Billy Stone (Candace), Kelly Stone; and twelve great grandchildren, Angela Williams, Valerie Williams, Elijah Williams, D.J. Stone, Daniel Stone, Emily Stone, Jonathan Stone, Jr., Jaidyn Stone, Gabriel Stone, Aiden White, Brenden Fowler, and Corbin Fowler.  He was preceded in death by two brothers, L. C. Warren and Harold Warren; and a sister, Diane Preacher.
