Mrs. Patricia Golden Cutie passed away peacefully in her home with her husband, Thomas J. Cutie, by her side on Tuesday morning, March 27, 2018.
Born in Albany, New York on March 18, 1934, she was the only child of Daniel Francis Golden and Angela McArdle Golden. She graduated from Russell Sage College in Troy, New York in 1956 as a Physical Therapist. Her and Tom met on a blind date and were married six months later on July 4, 1959, and were inseparable ever since. When asked why they got married on the 4th of July, they said, “so we will always have our anniversary off from work to celebrate”. She worked in the Physical Therapy filed until her retirement in 1987, moving to Beaufort, South Carolina that same year. She loved canoeing, swimming, walking and being outdoors. Her home was never without a dog or dogs. She even authored a children’s book “The Adventures of Mr. Hugo”, which was based on a chocolate lab they had rescued after Hurricane Hugo. She was very active at Saint Peters Parish in Beaufort, having served as a Eucharistic Minister and Adoration. After moving to Round O, they became members of Saint Anthony Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas J. Cutie; three sons, Thomas F. Cutie (Tanya) of Beaufort, Francis D. Cutie (Michele) of Baldwinsville, New York, Daniel J. Cutie (Nancy) of Greenwich, New York; and a daughter, Kathleen Cutie (Tim Branam) of Round O; twelve grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Amedysis Hospice for the excellent care and compassion, particularly Dr. DeMarco, Leslie, Josephine, and Michelle.
