Marie Stryker Doyle

Mrs. Marie Stryker Doyle, 92, entered into rest Wednesday morning, March 21, 2018, at her home in Smoaks.  She was the wife of the late Mr. Harry Jordan Doyle, Jr.

Born June 4, 1925, in Three Bridges, New Jersey, she was a daughter of the late Robert R. Stryker and the late Helen Van Doren Stryker.  Formerly of Quakertown, New Jersey, she was preceded in death by her first husband, William M. Stout.   While in Quakertown, she was a member of Quakertown United Methodist Church and the Methodist Young Fellowship Society.  

She made South Carolina her home in 1968 and was a member of Buckhead Advent Christian Church in Smoaks.   At her church, she was a former member of the Women and Home Foreign Missions, had served as a delegate to the South Carolina Conference of the church, and was a member of the Ladies Prayer Group.  

Surviving are: a son, Ralph Merle Stout of Oregon; two daughters, Lorraine S. Eddy of South Carolina and Nancy S. Roberts of North Carolina; fifteen grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.  She is also survived by a sister, Arlene Smith; a step-son, Dr. Thomas E. Doyle; and a step-daughter, Nancee Bennett. 

Funeral services will be conducted 11:30am Monday morning, March 26, 2018, at Buckhead Advent Christian Church, 5251 Buckhead Road,  Smoaks.  Pastor Dennis Hall officiating.   The family will receive friends prior to the funeral ceremony at 10:30 in the church sanctuary.       Burial will be at Old School Baptist Cemetery in Hopewell, New Jersey.
