Mrs. Margaret “Claire” Pagett Martin, 63, of Lodge, wife of Woody Martin, Jr., passed away Sunday, June 25, 2017 at her residence.
Claire was born in Charleston, South Carolina on April 26, 1954. She was the daughter of Emmett Pagett and Treva Steedly Furr. She was a former secretary for the Ports Authority in Charleston. Claire loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed the outdoors and loved deer hunting. She enjoyed cross-stitching and was a great southern cook. Claire was a member of the Advent Lutheran Church in Charleston, SC.
In addition to her husband of 26 years, she is survived by her children, Natalie Ayer (Brandon) of Bamberg and Dione Futch of Walterboro; her mother, Treva Furr of Ehrhardt and her father, Emmett Pagett (Ruby) of Charleston; 3 grandchildren, Brittani Futch, Dylan Futch and Brooklyn Searson; along with 5 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Emmett “Steven” Pagett of Ehrhardt.
