Mrs. Kathy Kitchens Gordon, 65, of Ruffin, entered into rest Monday afternoon, September 12, 2016, at her home in Summerville. She was a longtime resident of Ruffin, having been a retired educator from Bells Elementary School.
Born September 3, 1951, in Charleston, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Robert D. Kitchens and the late Francis Sapp Kitchens. She received her Master’s Degree from Winthrop University dedicating her life to her love of children and helping them through her desire to teach others. She also possessed a love for horses.
Surviving are: her children, Kent Gordon of Summerville and Ashely E. Rourk and her husband Eddie of Summerville; and two grandchildren, Trace Rourk and Rachael Rourk.
