John Robinson

Mr. John Howard Robinson, 83, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Friday, November 20, 2015 at the Veteran’s Victory House in Walterboro.  He was the widower of the late Ella Wilson Robinson.

Funeral services will be held 3 pm, Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Walterboro Chapel.  Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Hendersonville Highway, Walterboro.

Mr. Robinson was born April 25, 1932 in Cottageville and was a son of the late Henry Robinson and Edlah Hughes Robinson.  He served his country faithfully in the United States Army.  Mr. Robinson was a retired agent for Palmetto Life Insurance Company, now known as Monumental Life Insurance Company.  He was a member of First Baptist Church of Walterboro and loved baseball and fishing.

Surviving are: his children, Johnny and Myra Robinson of Ruffin, Melissa and Wayne Eaves of Walterboro, and Doug and Tracy Robinson of Walterboro; his companion of many years, Evelyn Chisolm of Ladson; grandchildren, J.D. Robinson, Jr., Caleb (Amanda) Robinson, Stacie (Jef) Clark, Emily Eaves, Payton Robinson, Allyson Robinson, Phillip Eaves, Dianna (Brad)  Warner and Kayla (Wes) Chavis; great grandchildren, Thomas Clark, Alex Clark, Hailee Warner, Alexis Warner, Hunter Warner, Zane Bohn and Mason Wilkerson; one that he loved as a son, Bryan McCollum and his family of Walterboro; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 1 brother.
