I just learned that my dear friend Greg has passed away. I still do not believe it. We were the closest of friends many years ago before careers literally took us in different directions. Greg was always ready to help a friend. Greg would fight alongside you or pray alongside you but you always knew he would be there for you.
Greg and I even remained friends after we both fell for the same young lady! Greg was the bigger man and promised to give me room to fail miserably! She moved on from both of us but mostly from me since Greg kept his promise.
Greg kept his word and he studied God’s word—he loved debating the meaning of scripture and discussing God’s purpose for our lives. I lost contact with my friend after his move across country but I have not forgotten what a good friend he was.
