Helen Kippes

Helen Foxworth Kippes, 74, of Ponderosa Drive in Yemassee, entered into rest Wednesday afternoon, April 22, 2015, at her son’s home in Oakboro, North Carolina.  She was the loving wife of the late Mr. Laverne Joseph Kippes.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 o’clock Monday morning, April 27, 2015, from Yemassee Baptist Church, 127 Salkehatchie Road, Yemassee.  The Reverend Don Helms officiating.  Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Road, Mount Pleasant.

Born November 20, 1940, a native of Charleston County, she was a daughter of the late Wallace Penn Foxworth and the late Margaret Sarah Frank Foxworth.  She was a member of Yemassee Baptist Church.   She will be fondly remembered for the love she possessed for her family and grandchildren, as well as her passion for gardening, dancing, crocheting, and going to the beach.  She was an avid volunteer with the annual Yemassee Shrimp Festival.

Surviving are:  three sons, Kerry Kippes and his wife Patricia of Evansville, Indiana, Joseph Wallace Kippes of York, and Charles Matthew Kippes and his fiancé Katie of Oakboro, North Carolina; a brother, William V. Foxworth of Cottageville; and a sister, Bertha F. Sink of Indialantic, Florida.  There are ten grandchildren, Nicole Kippes, Charlie Victoria Kippes, Meyotas Kippes, Avery Kippes, Justice Kippes, Joseph Kippes, Sydney Kippes, Abigail Williams, Isabel Zeock, and Wilson Kippes that also survive.
