Mr. Harry Milton Benton, 65, of Ruffin, entered into eternal rest Tuesday evening, April 18, 2017, at at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born February 8, 1952, in Colleton County, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Milton Cyril Benton and the late Dorothy Ellen Dempsey Benton. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Ruffin and will always be remembered for the love he possessed for his family. He enjoyed music and playing the guitar and was an avid fisherman.
Surviving are: his wife of forty-four years, Mrs. Betty Crosby Benton; three children, Steven Benton of Ruffin, Robert Benton of Ruffin, and Lisa Hill and her husband Curt of Walterboro; and three sisters, Janice Benton Vinczi of Walterboro, Kathy Benton Stratton of Walterboro, and Karen Benton Amberson of Ruffin. There are two grandchildren, Heather Hill and Leroy Hill.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be directed in his memory to the charity of one’s choice.
