Dorothy LaVerne McCubbins

Mrs. Dorothy LaVerne McCubbins, 73, entered into rest Wednesday evening, April 4, 2018, at her home in Round O. 

Born June 18, 1944, in Bardstown, Kentucky, she was a daughter of Ed Warren Hardin and Marian Hatfield Hardin Hafer.   She will always be remembered for the love she possessed for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as her dogs and watching television.  

Surviving in addition to her mother of Summerville are:  her husband of fifty-eight years, Mr. Billy Neal McCubbins, Sr.; four daughters, Sherry LaVerne Nichols and her husband Tommy of Smoaks, Donna Denise Pacetti of Cottageville, Lynn Cline and her husband Tommy of Round O, and Cindy Hale and her husband Gary of Walterboro; a son, Billy McCubbins , Jr. and his wife Dee Dee of Cottageville; a sister, Wanda Miles of Bargstown, Kentucky; eighteen grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren.  

A memorial service will be held 11 o’clock Saturday morning, April 7, 2018, from The Walterboro Church of God, 4582 Jefferies Highway, Walterboro.   Bishop Steven McAbee officiating.  The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the church.
