Born February 8, 1971, a son of Mrs. Jeanie Guagenti Hager and the late Mr. Morgan Leach Hager; he was a native of Berrien Center, Michigan; having made South Carolina his home since 1986, before eventually knowing the Town of Cottageville as his residence in 1999.  Brad was an entrepreneur; who knew no end to hard work, strong ethics, and dedication.  In 2000; he became the owner of the Walterboro franchise for Bucks Pizza.  He, along with his family, evolved this business into an iatrical part of a community he dearly loved, always participating in local events, fundraising and contributing in any way he seen that the business could.  He was also the owner of Ecig of Walterboro and Smoke Shack.

Brad was truly a giver.  He devoted his life to helping and benefitting others.  He also believed strongly in the Lord and dedicated a large part of his life to the church.  A member of Walterboro First Church of The Nazarene, he served as a Trustee and in many areas of the church’s work.  He was extremely instrumental in the renovations and constructions needs of the new location which was dedicated on February 21st, 2016.

Brad was truly a “Jack of All Trades” and also a self-taught carpenter, building most anything he placed his mind upon.  The smile he possessed will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, along with the truly wonderful and caring person that he was.  Brad cared for others, never taking anyone for granted; caring and appreciating all those on his staff in a way most never knew.

Surviving in addition to his mother of Cottageville are: his wife, Mrs. Ann Hass Hager of Charleston; three children, Roddy Altine of Charleston, Stacy Creel and her husband Justin of Cottageville, and Jessica Hager of Buffalo, New York; a brother, Michael Lee Hager of Battle Creek, Michigan; and four grandchildren, Jaylen Creel, Savannah Altine, Mariah Creel, and Madison Altine.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Randy Henry.
