Bill Griner

Mr. William Hamilton “Bill” Griner, 80, of Early Branch, passed away Friday, June 30, 2017.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am, Monday, July 3, 2017 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Varnville-Hampton Chapel.  Interment will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery.

Born September 21, 1936 in Hampton, he was a son of the late Luda Cleveland Griner and Bertha Pope Griner.  He retired from J.P. Stevens, Inc.  He was a member of Sand Hill Baptist Church, where he was a former deacon.  In his earlier years, he enjoyed hunting and had an avid love of horses and dogs.

Surviving are: his wife, Valerie Dempsey Griner of Early Branch; brother, Marion Lee Griner of Hampton; and many nieces and nephews that he loved as his own.  He was preceded in death by a brother, LC Griner.
