Betty Walling

Mrs. Betty Jane Walling, 79, of Walterboro, passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2016 at her residence.  She was the widow of Watson D. Crosby, Jr.

Funeral services will be held 2 pm, Friday, June 24, 2016 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home Chapel, Walterboro.  Interment will follow in Glendale Memorial Cemetery, 2210 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.

Born February 12, 1937 in Colleton County, she was a daughter of the late George Walling and Bell Bowman Walling.  She was a retired supervisor from DuPont, where she worked for 33 years.  She was a member of Peniel Baptist Church.

Surviving are: her brother, Wayne Walling of Walterboro; sister, Margie Steerman and her husband Herb Steerman, Sr. of Goose Creek; several special nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and great nephews.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Beaudrot; and brothers, George Walling, Jack Walling, and Bobby Oliver Walling.
