Alton "Junior" DuBois Jr.

Mr. Alton “Junior” DuBois Jr., 74, of Lodge, SC, passed away Monday, November 6, 2017, at Colleton Medical Center. Junior was an avid fisherman who loved children, and was a self-employed carpenter. He later worked at M & G Builders in Walterboro, SC. He was of the Pentecostal Faith.

He is predeceased by his parents Alton DuBois Sr. and Loretta Purvis DuBois; Bessie L. Myers; his son, Rudy Myers; and sisters and brothers, Kenneth, Larry, Anne, Delores, Alice, and Theresa; and his best buddy Blue.  

He is survived by his daughters: Lessie M. Snead, of Walterboro, SC, Brenda M. Carter, of Ridgeland, SC, and Ellie E. Busse, of Hampton, SC; brothers, Jerry DuBois, of Spartanburg, SC, and Perry DuBois, of Spartanburg, SC; sister, Beatrice Norris of Boone, NC; his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great- grandchildren that were very special to him.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House Charities, 81 Gadsden Street, Charleston, SC 29401.

A memorial service will be conducted 10 o’clock Monday morning, November 13, 2017,  at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro.  The Reverend Dan Fogle officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
