Mr. Archibald Campbell Koger, Jr., affectionately know by all as A.C., age 89, entered into rest Thursday afternoon, December 14, 2017, at his home in Walterboro. He was the husband of the late Mrs. Violet Smith Koger.
Funeral services will be conducted 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon, December 17, 2017, from the graveside at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Hendersonville Highway, Walterboro. The Reverend Eric Bjork officiating. The family will greet guests following the service at the cemetery.
Born January 19, 1928, in Colleton County, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Archibald Campbell Koger, Sr. and the late Dora Bishop Koger. He served in the United States Army and was a retiree of Asten Hill in Walterboro. Following his retirement, he worked for a number of years with Colleton County. He was a longtime member of Bedon Baptist Church in Walterboro.
Surviving are: a sister, Mrs. Mary Koger Crosby of Walterboro and her children, Bill Crosby, Mary Jo O’Quinn and her husband Leslie, Jackie Scarborough, and Carolyn Nimburger and her husband Eric; a grandson, Mike Wilson and his wife Natalie and their children of Walterboro; and his nephew and caretaker, Joey Byrd as well as several nieces and nephews.
