Peggy Barnes Stiltz

Mrs. Peggy Barnes Stiltz, 77, of Ehrhardt, entered into eternal rest, Thursday morning, April 25, 2024, at Pruitt Healthcare in Estill.  She was the wife of the late Richard Stiltz.

Born December 30, 1946, in Allendale, she was a daughter of the late James William Barnes, Sr. and Lois Kinard Barnes.  She was a member of Ehrhardt Baptist Church and attended St. Johns United Methodist Church in Norway. Peggy was always happy and loved everyone.  She also loved animals.

Surviving are: her daughter, Alice Margaret Fail of Charleston; step-daughter, Kimberly Stiltz of Norway; step granddaughter, Mary Marie Jones; brother, James William Barnes, Jr. and his wife Donna of Ehrhardt; sisters, Berdie M. Maxwell of Summerville and Bobbie B. Price and her husband Dean of Ehrhardt; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her sister, JaReida B. McKenzie and her husband Robert; and a brother-in-law, Robert Maxwell.

The family would especially like to thank the staff of Pruitt Healthcare in Estill and Pruitt Health Hospice for the loving care they gave Peggy.

Graveside funeral services will be held 11 o’clock, Monday morning, April 29, 2024, at St. Johns Baptist Church Cemetery, 2468 St. Johns Church Road, Ehrhardt.  The family will receive friends during a time of visitation following the service.
